2006-04-02 When bans just don't feel right.
Often enough a nickchange to another name was enough to evade a ban. So when I first banned clan one and their members from my servers it helped a while - but meanwhile they just changed names and still played on my bandwidth. I decided to remove the nickbanning and add some fun to it. When clan one decides to play a clanwar or sth. else on my servers and I see it I will play random jokes on their players..

2005-11-08 Donations welcome.
I decided to accept donations for the work that the Last Resort Game Servers put upon me. Of course, it's my own will to get those stuff running and nobody really asked me to keep it running, but whoever wants to thank me for it could spare his words and donate some money.

2005-09-12 Second Movieset for Magro's Movie "The Outbreak"

2005-08-03 LastResortAq2Pickup now officially uses TeamSpeak
Hey, we just put into our FAQ at LastResortAq2Pickup that we like playing with TeamSpeak to spice our games up a bunch. I updated the aq2-servers configs once more, you will now be able to vote on things like timelimit, roundtimelimit and dmflags by the "vote" command. No need to change the whole configs by voting a config... that's much better for leagues and simple clanwars. 2005-07-19 banned "clan one" from the aq2-servers
We're not really content with the behaviour of members of that clan. We never really were content with the fact that chris and ctro left quadaver only to see them creating a new clan with daywalker and arne as mates. We had several problems in the past with daywalker and arne. Seeing they are playing nearly every day on our servers, using up time and resources doesn't make any sense. 2005-06-05 new old server and small update
Today we took our old pickup server into the Last Resort ranks, it's name now is "Last Resort (.de) 4 - #pickup.aq2". The pickup server is used for pickup games that are organised at quakenet at #pickup.aq2 - You can find those rules here: LastResortAq2Pickup

Yo, so I have started this page to comment and tell you the happenings around the Last Resort Servers.. Guess that's a good time to tell you some stuff that's coming to my mind.
The AQ2-server "Last Resort 1 - cw" seems to be the most used clanwar server in germany. No wonder, if you see how many servers there still are: 6 .. only six AQ2-servers in germany still.

Keep in mind that every service, even playing on these servers, is not a right. It's a privilege. Which also means, we can exclude anyone anytime we don't like. This is not a warning, it's an information to counter and screw those little morons.

- People who want to play aq2 but miss some maps can download them from http://quad.netdome.biz/aq2/maps - still only download the ones you really need, don't just download all maps - that's retarded.
- On the quakenet channel #quad.live you can see a live matchbot that reports AQ2 clanwar matches on LR .de 1 , hf :)

Server Infos
Servers need to meet the minimum of having at least one CPU that powers with >=1000mhz. So you can be sure in a way, if the server lags, it's most likely the line. And a line to a server is not only OUR lines but also your Internet Service Provides lines. This means, if you whine about lags, we can't do much about it - except you send use traceroutes that prove our servers line being the fault.
